As both an integral coach and a psychotherapist, I take the whole client into perspective as I work. My methodology includes deep listening and empathy, mindfulness, body-centered (somatic) awareness, in-session exercises and tools. I work with a multicultural lens, taking into consideration the individual’s cultural identity as well as how the environment reacts to that identity.
I believe that we are all innately whole, but we create a “committee” of limiting states (e.g. inner critics) in order to adapt to difficult life situations. I help clients recognize those states and shift out of them, thus giving them more access to their full potential.
The Integral Method I use is more concerned with Vertical Development: “helping the clients grow in ways that have them actually live in a different way, not just solve the problem in front of them” (see more at NVW blog post on Integral Coaching).
